Our Wine Room
Our unique Wine Room overlooks a tranquil pond full of bird life, surrounded by vineyards and over 900 beautiful rose bushes. Our Wine Room experience has much to offer with its unique glass floor showcasing the famous Coonawarra Terra Rossa soil profile.
Taste the range of our award-winning wines with our friendly, knowledgeable staff. Look out over the pond while the birds swim and the cows graze among the vineyards.
Food
Picnic Cheese Boxes
Visit our cellar door and enjoy a Picnic Cheese Box with selected cheeses and gourmet seasonal produce, also available to take away. Laze on the lawn, relax on one of the decks overlooking the pond, under the gum trees or sit among our roses.
Wine is also available for sale by the glass. Picnic Cheese
Boxes are available from 12pm to 3:30pm, seven days a week.

QUESTIONS
Before You Visit
Do I need to book before coming?
Our cellar door space is relatively small, and thus we encourage people to book, particularly during peak periods. We are generally able to accommodate smaller parties of 1-2 people, however, in order to ensure that we are able to give you the best tasting experience, we do still encourage visitors to book. When booking, please advise us of the total number of people in the group, including children and non-tasters. This is to ensure that we are able to accommodate everyone, for example in the event of poor weather. For groups of 6 or more people, it is essential to book in order to ensure that we are able to comfortably accommodate your group.
Can I bring my own picnic?
We do not allow BYO food or alcoholic drinks. We are limited in terms of seating and thus all our seating around our Wine Room and on the lawned area is reserved for the consumption of our own wine and Cheese Picnic Boxes.
Is there food available?
We offer our Picnic Boxes for $40, which are available until 4pm. They contain a selection of cheeses, cured meats, olives, dried fruit, almonds, crackers and nougat. We also offer kids snack bags for $5. These contain a kids activity pack, some potato chips, fruit box and a chocolate frog.
Do you host weddings?
We do not have the facilities to cater for weddings or other large functions, however, there are many other wineries in Coonawarra that may be able to assist. We are happy to suggest other venues.
Are you dog friendly?
Absolutely! All areas outside our wine room are dog friendly, including our deckings. We do ask however, that your dog remains on a leash at all times.
Giving Back
Tasting Fees Donated to Charity
100% of all tasting fees charged from our Wine Room have been donated to a chosen
charity close to the Balnaves Family’s heart. We are staggered by the generosity of our
visitors who choose to donate over and above the requested amount at times — thank you!
This quarter our chosen charity is the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
