Vintage 2012 was mild and early, producing elegant wines with delicate ripe fruit flavours. Blended from our Dead Morris, Walker, and Quarry vineyards, this wine spent 20 months in tight-grain French oak from Seguin Moreau, Taransaud, Sylvain and Berger cooperages, before bottling in December 2013 under screwcap.

Deep rich red in colour, the nose shows aromas of cassis, seaweed and a touch of blackberry, combined with fine mocha-coffee French oak. The palate is structured and lean with ripe cassis fruit and a fine tannin finish. This wine will reward careful cellaring, and we recommend decanting before drinking.

Full-crimson-purple, it is a luscious, full-bodied Cabernet, crammed with cassis fruit, quality oak and substantial tannins. Time is on its side, and it really needs 3-5 years before it is first approached. DRINK to 2037
